Individuals with a strong interest in media and journalism who are looking for a unique and diversified experience at a local TV station in Ghana are encouraged to apply. This internship requires at least a one-month commitment and can last up to one year if interested. Coastal Television is the first community television station in Cape Coast, Ghana. It is “free to air” and easily accessible to communities in Cape Coast, as well as communities within the 20 kms radius of Cape Coast.

Through the use of music, docu-dramas, folklore, and a host of interactive programs, Coastal Television serves as an important social mirror and bridge in moving the Central Region from despair to hope. You will have the option of being part of the morning crew, the evening crew or even both if you so desire. The morning crew’s main work involves filming and investigating stories in the field, developing script, and developing daily programs. The evening crew handles all the editing and broadcasting of the television programs as  well as the live evening shows in the studio.

Unfortunately, Coastal TV does not have the means to provide interns with any required equipment for broadcasting. Therefore, we ask that all interns working at Coastal TV bring their own laptop loaded with the needed editing softwares for broadcasting, as well as a video camera.

*NB: Your impact during this internship is dependent on the length of your internship. Coastal Television is looking for at least a 2 month commitment from interns.
