Nkwa seeks to provide safe and portable drinking water for rural communities in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abriem (KEEM) District in the Central Region. The inaugural site for this project was the village of Breman, where we were able to construct one well that provides water for the community as well as the organic farm. Currently, the community of Breman drinks from a contaminated water source, as they primarily walk to a nearby slow-flowing stream (as seen in the first picture). In the future, Nkwa aims to build boreholes than wells due to their greater stability.
